Jenevieve was born in New York City in July of 1985, where she later received her B.F.A. from the Cooper Union School of Art with an award for Excellence in Painting in 2008. At Cooper, Jenevieve left behind photorealistic portraiture and landscape drawings to further explore dark room photography and abstract expressionistic painting. Seeking to combine the two, silkscreening had become the medium. The immediacy of silkscreen ushered in elements once isolated to her street art tactics. Over a decade in process and study a whole new style has emerged, layered with brushstrokes, decoupage, graffiti tags, patterns and photographic imagery. Continuing to explore the picture, color and texture, Jenevieve lives and works in New York.
